General Benzphetamine Dosing Information

Some considerations for people taking benzphetamine include the following:
 
  • Benzphetamine comes in the form of a tablet. It is taken by mouth one to three times daily.
     
  • It does not matter if you take benzphetamine on an empty stomach or with food. If benzphetamine bothers your stomach, try taking it with food.
     
  • Benzphetamine should be combined with an appropriate diet. It is not meant to be used without dieting.
     
  • Do not take benzphetamine more often (or in higher doses) than prescribed, as this can lead to benzphetamine addiction or dependence.
     
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed.
     
  • If you are unsure about anything related to your benzphetamine dosage, please talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
