Benzphetamine

Benzphetamine is a prescription medicine commonly used for weight loss. The medication works by suppressing the appetite and possibly increasing the metabolism. Potential side effects of the drug may include headaches, insomnia, and dizziness. Prior to taking benzphetamine, be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have or any medications you are taking.

 

What Is Benzphetamine?

Benzphetamine hydrochloride (Didrex®) is a prescription weight-loss medication approved for short-term use only. It should be used in conjunction with an appropriate diet.

Side Effects of Benzphetamine

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with benzphetamine. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
