Beyaz Drug Interactions

Beyaz Drug Interactions Explained

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when Beyaz is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
ACE Inhibitors
Combining Beyaz with ACE inhibitors can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should regularly check your potassium levels, particularly during the first cycle you use Beyaz, if you are taking both medications.
Aminoglutethimide
Aminoglutethimide may make Beyaz less effective, possibly increasing your risk of pregnancy. Talk with your healthcare provider before using these medications together. You may need to use a backup method of contraception, such as condoms.
Antibiotics
There have been reports of accidental pregnancy occurring in women taking birth control pills and certain antibiotics. However, the significance of this interaction is still uncertain. It is known that rifampin (Rifadin®) and minocycline (Minocin®) can make Beyaz less effective. Ask your healthcare provider if you need a backup method of contraception while you are taking an antibiotic.
Aprepitant
Aprepitant can make Beyaz less effective, perhaps increasing your chance of pregnancy. Talk with your healthcare provider before using these medications together. You may need to use a backup method of contraception.
Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers (ARBs)
Combining Beyaz with ARBs can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should regularly check your potassium levels, especially during the first month you take Beyaz, if you are taking both of these medications.
