Who Should Not Take Botox?

You should not take Botox if you:
  • Are allergic to Botox, onabotulinumtoxinA (previously known as botulinum toxin type A), or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive components.
  • Have an infection near where the Botox injections will be given.
