Were you looking for information about Candida? Candidias is a common misspelling of Candida.
As a type of fungus, Candida can cause yeast infections (candidiasis). Although these infections typically occur in women, they can also occur in men. Candida is found naturally in the human body, but certain factors (such as hormonal changes) can cause this fungus to multiply. This can cause symptoms such as genital itching and burning, as well as "cottage cheese-like" vaginal discharge. In most cases, candidiasis can be treated with antifungal medications.
(Click Candida for more detail on what causes candidiasis, as well as information on who is at the most risk of developing these infections. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
