What Is Daysee?
Daysee™ (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a birth control pill
that is a generic version of Seasonale®
. Because Daysee is an "extended-cycle" oral contraceptive
, you will get your period only four times a year (once every three months) with it.
Are There Side Effects?
Just like any medicine, Daysee can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the contraceptive will experience problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well.
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
Common side effects of most birth control pills, including Daysee, include but are not limited to:
- Breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods
- Breast tenderness
