Diagnostic Laparoscopy

Final Thoughts

A diagnostic or operative laparoscopy is an effective and safe alternative to open abdominal surgery. It usually consists of a shorter hospital stay and faster recovery than open surgery. As with all surgical procedures, there are risks and complications. However, overall, diagnostic laparoscopy is a safe and well-proven procedure for diagnosing and/or treating gynecological problems.
