Gildagia™ (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription birth control pill
. It is a type of "monophasic" birth control pill (an older type of birth control pill), which means there is only one strength of hormones in each pack. Gildagia is a generic version of Ovcon®
35, a medication that was approved in 1976.
Just like any medicine, Gildagia can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the contraceptive will experience problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well.
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
Common side effects of Gildagia include but are not limited to:
- Nausea or vomiting
- Breast tenderness
- Breakthrough bleeding or spotting (between periods).
