Infertility Etiquette -- Tips for Talking to Those Going Through Infertility

Simply Be There

Women and couples who go through infertility have to make their own decisions in how much they want to share and with whom they want to share their journey. If you are fortunate to be one of those people whom they have asked for support from, try not to worry so much about whether you say the right thing all the time. There will be times when you say or do something that you wouldn't normally think twice about, and it may be something that is difficult for your loved one to handle.

Keeping the communication open with your loved one will help you to better understand how you can support them. They can help educate you through the infertility process, and you will gain a deeper understanding of what to say and not say. But being there for them is vital in letting them know you care. By doing this, it will help your loved ones know that they are not alone in this difficult journey.
