Drug Interactions With Liothyronine

Liothyronine may affect the levels of theophylline in your blood. Your healthcare provider may need to check your theophylline levels and adjust your theophylline dosage as necessary.
Tricyclic Antidepressants
Combining liothyronine with a tricyclic antidepressant may increase the effects of both medications. Also, taking a tricyclic antidepressant with liothyronine may increase the risk of heart problems, such as an irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia). Be sure to check with your healthcare provider before taking these medications together.
Taking warfarin with liothyronine may increase your risk of bleeding. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely and adjust your warfarin dosage, especially when you start or stop taking liothyronine.
