Women Home > Conjugated Estrogens Vaginal Cream

Conjugated estrogens vaginal cream is commonly prescribed to treat vaginal problems that occur in postmenopausal women, such as vaginal dryness, itching, and burning, by replacing the estrogen that the ovaries no longer produce. The cream is typically used cyclically (three weeks on and one week off). Possible side effects of conjugated estrogens vaginal cream include breast tenderness, nausea, and headaches.

What Is Conjugated Estrogens Vaginal Cream?

Conjugated estrogens vaginal cream (Premarin® Vaginal Cream) is a prescription medication that contains a mixture of natural estrogen hormones. It is inserted vaginally using a special applicator.
