Women Home > Enpresse

Enpresse is a generic birth control pill that is available by prescription only. It is a combined oral contraceptive that prevents pregnancy by stopping ovulation and altering the lining of the uterus and cervical mucus. Enpresse is a triphasic pill, meaning each pack contains three different "phases" of tablets (each with different amounts of hormones). Potential side effects include breast tenderness, acne, and breakthrough bleeding.

What Is Enpresse?

Side Effects of Enpresse

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Enpresse. However, not everyone who uses the contraceptive will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common side effects of birth control pills include, but are not limited to:
  • Acne
  • Headaches
  • Breakthrough bleeding or spotting (between periods)
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Breast tenderness.
