Macrodantin may decrease the effectiveness of the oral typhoid
vaccine. If you are taking Macrodantin, your oral typhoid vaccine may need to be postponed for at least a day after finishing your Macrodantin prescription.
Probenecid can affect the way the kidneys handle Macrodantin. This can cause Macrodantin to build up in the bloodstream (possibly leading to toxicity) and may also make Macrodantin less effective.
