What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?
Prior to taking this drug, talk to your healthcare provider if you have:
- Kidney disease, such as kidney failure (renal failure)
- Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
- An electrolyte imbalance
- Vitamin B deficiency
- Any allergies, including to food, dyes, or preservatives.
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
Tell your healthcare provider about all medicines you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
What If I Take an Overdose of Macrodantin?
Taking too much of this medication may result in vomiting. If you happen to overdose on Macrodantin, seek immediate medical attention (see Macrodantin Overdose)
How Should It Be Stored?
Macrodantin capsules should be stored at room temperature and kept protected from light and moisture. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
