Metronidazole Vaginal Gel Side Effects
Some of the most commonly reported side effects of metronidazole vaginal gel are vaginal problems, such as irritation, discharge, and yeast infections. Although most reactions to this drug tend to be minor, there are some potentially serious complications that you should report to your healthcare provider, such as severe skin reactions, unexplained swelling, or tingling in your hands or feet.
Just like any medicine, metronidazole vaginal gel (MetroGel-Vaginal®) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the medication will have problems. In fact, most women tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.
