Mircette? Mercette is a common misspelling of Mircette.

Mircette® (desogestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription birth control pill that works by stopping ovulation, changing the cervical mucus, and altering the lining of the uterus. Side effects of Mircette may include headaches, nausea, and vomiting. In order for Mircette to work properly, you must take it as prescribed. There is only one standard dosage of Mircette, regardless of age, weight, or medical conditions. It is important that you do not miss any doses of Mircette, as this increases your chance of getting pregnant.

(Click Mircette for more information on how Mircette works, guidelines for when and how to take the medication, and potential overdose symptoms.)
