Generic Nystatin

There are a number of different generic nystatin products. These generic products come in the form of creams, ointments, powder, vaginal tablets, oral tablets, and liquid suspension (liquid). All of the generic versions currently available have been given "AT" or "AA" ratings by the Food and Drug Administration, which means that they should be equivalent to the brand-name versions.

Is a Generic Version of Nystatin Available?

Nystatin is a prescription antifungal medication approved for treating several different fungal infections. It comes in a variety of different forms.
 
Nystatin products were originally available under several different brand names, such as Candex®, Mycostatin®, Nystop®, and numerous others. However, generic versions are now available, and most brand-name nystatin products are no longer available.
