Nystatin Drug Interactions

Nystatin is unlikely to interfere with other medications. However, you should always tell your healthcare provider about all other medications (including prescription drugs, non-prescription drugs, vitamins, and supplements) you are taking, including nystatin.
Even when taken by mouth, nystatin is not significantly absorbed into the bloodstream. Instead, it stays in the digestive tract. Because it does not reach the liver, drug interactions with nystatin are unlikely, since most drug interactions occur in the liver.
Nevertheless, any time you start any medication (including nystatin), you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about the possible drug interactions that may apply to you.
