Ocella Contraceptive

Available by prescription only, Ocella™ (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) is a popular oral contraceptive that is taken every day. This birth control pill is highly effective -- in one study, for every 100 women who used it for a year, fewer than 1 became pregnant. Each pack of Ocella comes with 28 tablets that must be taken in order, at the same time each day.
To help ensure that you are taking this contraceptive safely, let your healthcare provider know if you have any allergies or are taking any other medications. Ocella is generally well tolerated, but it is not the best choice for everyone. The most common side effects of this product include breast tenderness, headaches, and menstrual changes.
