Ocella Medication Information

Ocella™ (drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol) is a popular birth control pill. This prescription medication is a generic version of Yasmin®. Although the drug is generally well tolerated, side effects are possible and may include problems like breast tenderness, breakthrough bleeding, and nausea. Each pack of Ocella contains 28 pills, and one pill is taken each day, either with or without food.
In order to help ensure that the medication is right for you, Ocella's safety information should be reviewed with your healthcare provider before you start taking it. You should let your healthcare provider know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have high blood pressure, or have any allergies, among other things.
