Are There Side Effects?

As with any medicine, phentermine and topiramate can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. Most people tolerate it quite well.
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Some of the most common side effects of phentermine and topiramate include but are not limited to:
  • Unusual sensations, such as tingling, numbness, or pricking
  • Dizziness
  • Changes in how things taste
  • Insomnia
  • Constipation
  • Dry mouth.
