Provera Pill

A healthcare provider may recommend Provera® (medroxyprogesterone acetate) to treat certain problems with menstruation, including irregular periods or an absence of periods. This medicine is also approved for preventing an overgrowth of the uterine lining, which may lead to uterine cancer. Several strengths of this prescription medication are available.
