Seasonique is made by Duramed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Despite what you may read on the Internet, no generic Seasonique is available in the United States.

When Will Generic Seasonique Be Available?

Duramed holds the exclusive rights to market Seasonique until at least May 2009. This is the earliest possible date that a generic version of the drug could become available. However, other circumstances could come up to extend the exclusivity period beyond 2009. This could include things such as new patents for specific Seasonique uses or lawsuits between drug manufacturers. Once the patent expires, several companies will likely begin manufacturing generic Seasonique products.

Will My Insurance Cover Seasonique?
