Spotting With Sprintec

Bleeding between periods (spotting) is a common side effect of Sprintec® (norgestimate/ethinyl estradiol). In most cases, this is not a serious side effect and does not require medical attention.
However, certain side effects of Sprintec are potentially serious and should be reported to your healthcare provider right away. Notify your healthcare provider if you experience heavy vaginal bleeding or unusual vaginal bleeding that does not improve within a few months of starting Sprintec.
