Daysee Birth Control Information

DayseeTM (levonorgestrel/ethinyl estradiol) is a birth control pill available by prescription only. This generic version of Seasonale® is an "extended-cycle" oral contraceptive, which means you will get your period only four times a year (once every three months). Although this is a quite effective form of birth control, information about Daysee should be reviewed with your healthcare provider prior to use in order to help ensure your safety. Women who smoke or who have certain medical conditions may have an increased risk for heart attacks, strokes, or other problems while using this pill. This contraceptive comes in tablet form and is taken by mouth once a day. It is important to take this pill every day, at the same time each day, as missing doses increases your risk of an unintentional pregnancy. Daysee is not approved for use in girls who have not yet started having menstrual periods. (To learn more about this birth control pill, click Daysee. This article covers information on various topics, such as how Daysee works, when and how to take it, and what you should discuss with your healthcare provider before using it.)
