Larin Fe Birth Control Information

LarinTM Fe (norethindrone/ethinyl estradiol) is a prescription medication used for preventing pregnancy. Information about this particular birth control pill should be reviewed with your healthcare provider prior to use in order to help ensure its safety and effectiveness. Side effects are possible and include nausea, headaches, and breast tenderness. Larin Fe is a generic version of Loestrin® Fe. It is a combined oral contraceptive that contains two different hormones (estrogen and progestin) and primarily works by stopping ovulation. This product comes in the form of tablets. Each pack contains 28 pills, with the first 21 tablets containing the hormones and the last 7 tablets containing iron (which may help prevent anemia due to the blood loss from a period). It is important to take this pill every day, at the same time each day, as missing doses increases your risk of an unintentional pregnancy. (Click Larin Fe for more in-depth information on how this birth control pill works, when and how to take it, and what to expect.)
